Last Saturday about 40 of us got together to celebrate Arthur's 40th birthday. Arthur had a few surprise visitors - his Uncle John from Roma, and our good friends Tony & Jean from Adelaide.
You know your having a good time when the police turn up - Arthur told them we would turn the music down, no they said - "it's 2.30 mate, how about you turn it off"? AS IF!!!
Would you be surprised if I told you it was Georgie who kept turning the music down? Bloody hell, we ended up telling her that if it continued she'd be grounded INDEFINITELY!!
Since we had most of the neighbours at our house, the complaint obviously came from one of the ones that didn't get an invite - I have no doubt they were actually enjoying the music, but they were clearly pissed that they weren't invited!
We didn't get any group shots, so I have just put up some random pics. The dancing one is us doing a seriously bad rendition of "Let's do the Time Warp again" at about 3.30 in the morning.
I did a speech (a challenge) - I said what an amazingly positive impact going to Cre8 had on our relationship and on our family and that we'd made a commitment to do maintenance (real work - not just "spending time together") on our relationship at least once a year. Of course I also told everyone what a incredible person, wonderful husband and wonderful father Arthur was!
A big thank you to Georgie who not only cleaned while we were all still partying but also doubled as chauffeur for everybody!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARTHUR
love your family
