5 days in Melbourne

If there is one thing Arthur and I know how to do well, it's having a great time when we're away - with or without the kids!

When it's just us it's a far bigger challenge because we can fit so much more in. Invariably we come back exhausted but we've had a lot of fun in the process!

This trip was all the more fun because Nicole & Grayson and Nicky and Damien were in Melbourne the same time as us!
Dinner at Movida (you need to book 3 months in advance), Spanish tapas - what a taste sensation this place was!
Shopping.................
Dinner with Nicole and Grayson at Neil Perry's restaurant, "Rock Pool" - another taste sensation. Delicious food, fantastic company!
Shopping................
We took the train to Warragal (Damien's home town) and Nicky & Damien picked us up. From there we drove through some beautiful country side to Healsville where we had dinner at a winery call Giant Steps. We stayed at the Healsville Hotel, a beautiful old pub which I was convinced was haunted.
After 3 hours sleep we were up again at 3.30 to go Hot Air Ballooning - Watching the sunrise over the Yarra Valley was breath-takingly beautiful!
We all drove back to Melbourne, did a quick bit of shopping, then back to our rooms for a quick kindy-nap before the concert.
Fleetwood Mac were amazing - they absolutely still have it!
We had a really lovely time with Nicky and Damien, it was nice for us all to just be adults and not parents for a few days!

It's wonderful to be alive!
